So, here's my question
Do I send in my submission to Samhain with the synopsis and three chapters today or do I wait another several days (all depends on how much time I can get to work) and get the entire manuscript finished and send in a full, which is, while not necessarily, certainly preferred?

I really want to get this out today.

Marianne, this is for you.....

Oh My

Why doesn't this guy get any air time down here in the States? It's not fair that Canada is the only place that can enjoy him.

George As Johnny
Had to post this. George Canyon... one of my favorite country singers....

AND WRITING...

I'm still copying what I have handwritten for Where I'll Stay onto my computer. I'm almost done. Then I'm going to put it aside and get back to the matter at hand. Dreamer's Sea. The most frustrating wip I've ever worked on. I have to be the most fickle writer in the world because I've had more starts and stops with this story in the last few weeks, more changes of ideas. But in the end I think what I'll do is rewrite the first three chapters (at least) and cut out the back story as much as I can. Heck, I may be able to combine all three chapters into one. We'll see. All I know, is I just want this finished. Today. Yeah, that's not likely.

Unfortunately at work we're neck deep into our busy season (one of two). I'm typing from 6:30am to 1:30pm every day. Then I come home and type. My arms are getting sore.

WHAT I'M READING: Flirting With Pete by Barbara Delinsky. I generally don't explore new writers too much, I stick with my favorites, but I'm so glad I've given her a try. I love her style.

Off I go, need to finish my writing.

Oh, You Gotta Be Kidding Me
Snow. More snow. Enough snow to possibly break our all time snowfall record. I believe it.

Enough snow so school is canceled today. The kids won't be pleased. Yes, I said that. Two of them have after school things going on and my oldest is just crazy about school. There's no place she'd rather be.

Got some more editing done on my HQ Blaze and have just added back in a very steamy Blaze-worthy scene but it's put me over the maximum word count so I'm going to have to do some trimming. Not as much as Dreamer's Sea, but enough. I just have to remind myself not to add anymore unless I take some away. I'm glad I've made some progress.

I've been looking for pictures for my book trailer and have been having problems finding someone to represent Ben, my hero from Sweet Forever. I wonder if George Canyon would let me use a picture of him. He's the model for he character and there is no substitute. It'll be the same when it comes time for a trailer for Dreamer's Sea (I'm staying positive). I'll need James Tupper for that role. He (physically) is Jonas.

A reminder! There are still two more days of author interviews over at
Diane Craver's blog. Yesterday she interviewed Allie Boniface, today she talks to Diana Castilleja and tomorrow it'll be me.

Got some videos. Can't resist George Canyon...

Or James Tupper... aka Jack (and Marin too)

There, that's better....

Hey, We're Going To Get A Storm!
Wow, it hasn't snowed for...what 2 days? And there seems to be a pattern. Every Tuesday/Wednesday for the past 3 weeks we've been getting hit. Someone doesn't want me to have my quiet Wednesday afternoons when the kids are off at Grandma's house for a few hours. What did I do to deserve this???

I had a pretty productive day of writing, despite the errands I had to run and the phone call that wouldn't die. I wrote about 1500 words and I still have oodles on paper that need to be transfered over to the computer. I'm loving it, though I'm sure that means I'll hit a roadblock soon. It helps that I have a friend who enjoys brainstorming with me.

One of my coworkers came up to me yesterday and told me that the owner of the local bookstore said that anytime I want to come in and talk to him I'm welcome to. So what I need to do is get a few copies of Finally Home and bring them in. I'm not sure they work with Whiskey Creek. On their website they have Samhain books listed, but not WCP. But this is cool. Could be a very good start! Get some starry-eyed romantic souls in there and sell some books!

Okay, onto the daily inspiration. The following singer is Nova Scotian country singer, George Canyon. I ADORE this guy. He came in 2nd in the 2nd season of Nashville Star and is extremely popular up in Canada but for some reason hasn't made a name for himself down here. I don't know why.

Wow, it's getting late. Need to get some writing done.
